Montemar Pinot Noir SRH
Our Price: $38.00
Blackberries and raspberries front the luscious profile. Black tea and rose petals provide the next accented layers. There’s also a delightful strawberry pinch at the mid-palate. Soft bounces of acidity and smooth tannins result in an exquisite and lasting finish.

Our SRH Pinot Noir is a blend of 3 beautiful vineyards in the sta. Rita Hills AVA.
Rio Vista Vineyard - Clone 2A
Bentrock Vineyard - Clone 115
Bouna Terra Vineyard - Clone 777
We selected 11 barrels from these 3 lots for this blend, the vineyard distinctiveness of course is limited but the blend is very approachable and definitely complex. The wines for this blend were gently destemmed then cold soaked for 4 days and fermented with gentle punchdowns. Aged in all tight grained French oak barrels with 35% new for 19 months.

Bright ruby in color with rich notes of black cherry, violets, black tea, wild berries, herbs and mocha aromas. The flavors are rich and opulent with bright pomegranate, plum, tobacco leaf, rhubarb and clove that continue to the long, sultry finish.
Monticello Vineyards: Pinot Noir, Napa, Estate Grown Montemar Bentrock Pinot Noir Robert Foley: Pinot Noir Hudson Vineyard
Pure Pleasure and explosive fruit! Our Pinot Noir’s aromatics and taste are dominated by ripe berry and black cherries. The flavors follow with raspberry and hints of strawberry. The texture is rich and elegant finishing long on the palate.

Our Bentrock Pinot Noir is from our 2 acre block of clone 777. The vineyard is located on the far western end of Santa Rosa road. In its relatively short life this vineyard has gained a reputation for excellent fruit. The growing year was generally a great one and will be known for bigger wines. This wine was gently destemmed then cold soaked for 4 days and fermented with gentle punchdowns. Aged in all tight grained French oak barrels with 35% new for 18 months.

Carneros region Beautiful garnet hue. The aroma suggests a medley of strawberry and raspberry with a slight hint of toasty oak. Medium body and lively on the palate, the crisp natural acidity lifts these aromas and provides a long elegant finish. Aged one year in 100% new Burgundian cooperage and another year in the bottle, the 2013 Pinot Noir is drinking very well with ample natural acidity to lie down and continue to develop for years to come.

Kistler Vineyards Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 2018 Brewer-Clifton Pinot Noir 'Melville' 2007 Marcassin 'Marcassin Vineyard' Pinot Noir 2010

“Our goal in crafting our Pinot Noirs is to capture the elusive Pinot character expressed in each of our exceptional coastal sites. We strive to produce elegant, harmonious wines which are impressive for their purity, balance, and lingering perfume. From these sites there is a progression of color and length of character as we move towards the coast.” – Steve Kistler

"A spectacular effort from Brewer-Clifton, the young 2007 Pinot Noir Melville Vineyard appears to have barely budged since I first tasted it in 2009. Notes of cloves, cinnamon, blueberries, black raspberries and underbrush are followed by a full-bodied, impeccably well-balanced, pure wine with great texture as well as length. This amazing Pinot Noir (15% natural alcohol) should age gracefully for another 10-15 year Deep plum/ruby/purple-colored to the edge, it offers notes of boysenberries, mulberries and a hint of raspberries. The site’s minerality is well-positioned in the full-bodied flavors which continue the blue fruit invasion, so to speak, but with more forest floor and composty notes, and a complex, northern Cote de Nuits Vosne-Romanee or Morey-St.-Denis personality expressed in the gorgeous fruit. 98 Point Robert Parker
