Corley Tietjen Cabernet Sauvignon Corley Yewell Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Loscano Grand Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, Uco Valley BARREL INSERT 4 LITER
This wine is offering fantastic primary aromas of rich, ripe red-berry fruit. I find undertones of sweet vanillin oak and hints of caramel. On the palate the wine is massive, with a wonderful core of fruit on the full mid-palate. The balance of the wine from front to back is impeccable, and the finish is long and carries the fruit beautifully. Roasted nuts, coffee and toasty oak create a complex range of red and dark fruits.

Aromatic and complex, Grand Reserve Cabernet delights the senses with a fragrant bouquet of fresh berries and cassis, evolves on the palate to include notes of chocolate, black pepper, and caramel. Lingers with a soft tannin pull, and finishes with tantalizing hints of fruit and vanilla.

From the newly minted Coombsville AVA Napa Valley, overlooked for many years, and unknown by many wine drinkers, the cooler area is considered one of the best in Napa for Cabernet Sauvignon, and has been called 'the future of Cabernet in Napa.' Impeccably balanced, superlative, definitive, harmonious, wonderful. Luscious raspberry, blueberry and cherry fruits laced with nuances of star anise, cedar and mocha lead into lovely caressing tannin in the mouth. Deepening complexities of violet floral, loam and mineral. The wine's components meld seamlessly in the deft oak-filled finish. A luxurious, alluring, pleasurable bottle of wine, it is the ultimate in caressing tannin in the mouth. Deep ruby red in color, the wine has an intense nose of toffee and rich black cherry. The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard is the most concentrated of these three 2014s, revealing notes of wet rocks and blue fruits, medium to full-bodied flavors, good richness and depth, and just a slight shortness in the finish. Drink it over the next 10 years.

The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard Elysian Reserve still seems like a youngster, dense bluish/purple in color with loads of blueberry liqueur, white flowers, graphite and pen ink, it's full-bodied, stunningly rich and a killer example of this fabulous vineyard that would be a first-growth if there were such a thing in Napa. Drink it over the next 15-20 years.
