This 148 acre property is situated in Begadan, one of the top villages of the Northern Medoc. Part of the original classification of Crus Bourgeois in 1932, it has been owned by the Bibey family since 1970. It is now managed by the dynamic young winemaker, Jerome Bibey. Passionate about his work, he employs only sustainable agriculture practices in the vineyard.
It is planted with 51% Merlot, 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot with an average age of 30 years. The soil combines clay limestone and the classic Medoc gravel.

Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, Cinsault Nearly dense very dark garnet with purple rim. The warm, generous aroma displays mature black cherry with a suggestion of jam and spice. In the mouth, this Gigondas is far more restrained and less expressive at this stage. The moderately full taste is not dense and offers underlying ripe black cherry matched by notable acidity and ripe tannin which come up at the conclusion.
70% Grenache, 25% Syrah and 5% Counoise with an average age of over 30 years. Very approachable with ripe fruit on nose. Spicy flavors of pepper and ripe cherries on the palate. A classic with steaks, barbecues, cheeses and hearty dishes.

Deep, black fruit aromas on the nose with a touch of sweet cherries. The palate is tender and soft with ripe fruit. The finish is fresh and elegant. Clearly a wine with excellent aging potential.
This is a Dom that shows the ripeness of the 2009 vintage yet remains full of energy. Gorgeous aromas of cream, apple, mango, honeysuckle, and chalk follow through to a full body and super fine, tight texture. Dense and agile. Vinous. It’s like a top grand cru white Burgundy.
