Sextant: Chardonnay, Central Coast
Elegant body perfumed with orange blossoms and apple aromas. Ample flavors of crisp pears, chewy apricots, and toasted walnuts are accented with fine hits of nutmeg, almonds, and peach-pie crust. There’s a charming buttery quality, with a slender puff of marshmallow, on the sumptuous and creamy finish.
Sextant: Zinfandel, Central Coast
Ripe blackberries, crisp plums, and luscious pomegranate juice rush together to the front of the profile. Tinges of cinnamon, smoky crushed black pepper, and spicy hoisin sauce make for a mouth watering mid-palate sensation as the glossy tannins and bouncy acidity become perceptible.

Dancing Lady: Zinfandel, Alexander Valley
This is stylish, but shows a keen sense of place. Layered and luscious, with aromas of cherry, blueberry and white pepper that lead to complex, rich flavors of plum, licorice and cinnamon spice.
Kent Price 2014 Venant du Coeur Blanc
Viognier dominates the blend (50%) both in aromatics and depth on the palate. This is complimented by the texture and flavor components of Grenache Blanc (30%) and Roussanne (20%) that seems to be the glue tying it all together. The floral and sweet pitted fruit character on the nose is a result of the increased proportion of Viognier and Roussanne in the blend and carries forward through the palate and on to the finish. All the while, Grenache Blanc offers its characteristic rich mouthfeel adding the perfect back drop to the luscious fruit balanced by good acidity lending a sense of unity and balance. The balance and structure of the mid-palate continue on the finish with notes of white pitted fruit, pear and a touch of citrus for added complexity.
Sextant: Zinfandel, "Holystone"
Cherries, black currants, and violets on the nose are precursors for the big ripe flavors of raspberries and pomegranate that follow. Supple tannins cling just a bit, but not too much to claw. The balance of alcohol and acid, along with its fruit-forwardness make this wine very approachable.
Robert Foley: Rhone Wine Blend
This is a classic white Châteauneuf blend with
50% Grenache Blanc, 45% Roussanne and 5%
Marsanne. It is vinified in stainless steel, settled,
clarified and bottled young and crisp. The wine is
then bottle aged for 18 months before release.
There are no oak barrels and no malolactic fermentation. The resulting wine is crisp and delicate
and focused entirely on the character of the fruit.
Painted Fields Old Vine Zinfandel
95% Zinfandel, 5% Barbera. 2019 Old Vine Zinfandel is sourced from different vineyards throughout the Sierra Foothills to compose a beautiful, elegant red wine similar to what was likely produced here in the late 1800s. A well-balanced, layered, and seamless wine offers tons of fresh blackberry and raspberry flavors wrapped in a bracing texture of ne-grained tannins. 2018-92 WE
Painted Fields Curse of Knowledge
A red blend of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet
Franc will thwart the curse of knowledge on the Sierra
Foothills and immerse on a new dimension of perfectly
balanced, well structured and high-quality red wine.
The intense ruby color and a sensational bouquet of dried
violet, black cherry, fresh herbs, and cocoa powder will catch
your attention. A balanced mid-palate, generous and round
due to the velvety tannins with a lingering nish of dark
berries and black licorice. Drink now to taste the brightness
of our fruits or age in your cellar for the next decade
Paso Port Ruby Port
Sweet, dark berry fruits, accented by brilliant spice highlights, frame
the aroma profile which is set against an anise- laden, sweet cherry flavor
profile.
Frostwatch: Kismet (white bourdeaux blend)
With consistent high marks from Connoisseurs Guide to California Wine, The Wine Advocate and Wine Enthusiast, this may be as close to a sure thing as you will ever find. Vibrant fruit (peach, apricot, fig) coupled with richness and complexity; this is an alternative white that’s easy to love.
Frostwatch: Chardonnay, Bennett Valley
The 2013 vintage (like the 2012 vintage) was fantastic in Bennett Valley. The growing season was long with moderate temperatures and very low disease pressure in the vineyard. As with other Frostwatch Chardonnays, this wine is a blend of two different clonal selections. Clone 4 contributes a full mouthfeel with loads of red apple fruit, while fruit from the Platt-Wente Block contributes vibrant citrus notes and a touch of minerality. This wine continues to improve with additional bottle aging and still has yet to reach its full potential. The wine pairs well with a variety of foods but is rich and complex enough to drink on its own.
92pts “Two Puffs” Connoisseurs’ Guide
Paso Port Violeta Port
Beautiful aromatics, brimming with blueberry, blackberry and boysenberry
on the palate, this vintage of Violeta is sure to please the serious port
connoisseur. Lay this wine down for 10 years and you are sure to be rewarded.
Per Cazo Zinfandel
Classic fruit-centered aromas of ripe berries, cranberry and
sandalwood. Fairly full-bodied for a Zinfandel, with a leanness and
youthful austerity that bodes well for aging this wine. This is not a Zin
which is entirely fruit-forward in style.
Montemar Ritas Crown Chardonnay
Highest vineyard in Sta Rita Hills, Sauvignon Blanc from Vogelzang Vineyard highly sought after spot in Happy Canyon and Grenache Blanc from Tierra Alta Vineyard, a great Rhone focused vineyard in Ballard Canyon where many great Grenache Blanc originate.
Andis Friedlander Block Zinfandel
Friedlander Block is showing muscular characteristic and
concentrated flavors. Aromas of dried herbs, rose petals and
black pepper enhanced by hints raspberry and cranberry.
This red wine is a true full body Zinfandel with firm tannins,
round palate, and a lingering finish
B-Wise Vineyards: Wisdom Red Table Wine, Sonoma Estate
Bright and brambly raspberry & black cherry with black pepper, sweet vanilla and mocha. Soft and chocolately in the mouth with a lively fruit filled finish. Touches of spice and mineral linger on the palate. A tasty, easy-drinking wine for everyday and all occasions.
Frostwatch Semillon
While everyone loved the Vice Versa, many of our customers urged us to try producing a dry, rather than off-dry, Semillon. After experimenting with various blends, our final cuvee is 83% Semillon and 17% Sauvignon Blanc. The resulting wine is voluptuous with a silky smooth mouthfeel and a very nice acid balance. The wine exhibits traditional Semillon notes of fig, but also expresses honeydew melon aromatics and flavors.
Montemar Stolpman Sangiovese
We use neutral barrels for all our Sangiovese lots so as not to
overpower the delicate fruit. We can’t say enough about the Stolpman vineyard
and we feel lucky to be able to source this great Sangiovese. During the
destemming we threw in a little Viogner and Syrah fruit, less the 3%, into the
fermenter for fun and maybe some added complexity. This wine was gently
destemmed then cold soaked for 4 days and fermented with gentle punchdowns.
Aged in neutral tight-grained French barrels for 19 months
